There are two glove boxes – the upper one has an integrated USB player (on selected models) which means you can also operate your MP3 player via the steering wheel controls, while the lower one is there for your everyday items.

What we think you’ll love about the New Aveo is that it’s distinctive – refreshingly different. The motorcycle-inspired headlamps are a great example, housed in dual tubes with high-gloss black bezels and chrome rings.

Pronounced wheel arches continue the assertive theme and from the back, the New Aveo’s rear lamps add a touch of chic to the sleek, aerodynamically refined posture.

Spirited handling and fuel efficiency don’t normally co-exist well, but they do with the New Aveo. In fact, achieving a balance between driving enjoyment and the car’s environmental footprint was a core principle guiding the design of the New Aveo’s engine line-up. And we know these are important considerations for you.

Two petrol engines are engineered with innovative features to contribute to performance and efficiency at an impressive 47.9 miles per gallon and emissions of 138g/km for 1.2L 85 bhp version. Three diesel engines are also available, featuring Start/Stop technology with a choice of 74 bhp or 94 bhp, and a fantastically efficient 1.3 Eco Diesel engine with 78.4 miles per gallon and emissions of 95g/km.

Standard on all models are six airbags, a 4-channel anti-lock braking system (ABS) with brake assist and Electronic Stability Control (ESC). ISOFIX child seat restraints are standard on all models too, and are designed for use with ISOFIX child seats.The tight body frame isn’t just about driving pleasure. It’s also key to the Aveo’s advanced safety performance: in an accident the roof is capable of bearing 4.2 times the car’s actual weight. Advanced steels used on the new Aveo have greater tensile strength, which in turn protects the people inside the car.

Hill Start Assist

This great standard feature helps to prevent “roll-back” on hill starts. It holds the car in place for 1 ½ seconds, giving you time to apply the accelerator and get going safely.

Follow-Me-Home & Sound Warning Rear Park Assist

Reassuring if you’re arriving home late, “Follow-me-home” headlamps stay on to light your path to your door in the dark, before they turn of automatically. Standard on the LTZ trim is Sound Warning Rear Park Assist to help you when you’re in a tight spot.
