Goodwood Festival of Speed 2012
Over the last 100 years Chevrolet has built a reputation as one of the best and most recognised names in the motoring and racing industry. Goodwood Festival of Speed is the perfect location to celebrate our all new Chevrolet range, and will act as a great setting for us to share our rich American heritage, up to date product line up and racing success with everyone.
Chevrolet at Goodwood 2012- Aveo's First Cliff-hanger!
Since its launch earlier this year, the New Aveo has been very busy creating firsts. As a car that invites individuals to find the fun in life, New Aveo has been finding some fun for itself doing some extreme stunts. So far the New Aveo has completed:
- At skydive- going from 0-60mph in just 0.4 seconds.
- A skateboard inspired Kickflip- with skateboarding star Rob Drydek behind the wheel,
- A Bungee jump where Facebook fans literally poked the Aveo over the edge
- A Music video with OK Go where the car created all the music – including a guitar solo at 45mph!
- A piece of edgy street art- created by tools mounted to the car.
This year’s Goodwood will add another stunt to this already impressive list of firsts- ‘Aveo’s First Cliff-hanger’, where we will have the adventurous New Aveo on display mid-abseil on our stand!
Visitors will have the opportunity to follow the New Aveo’s lead, and have a go abseiling down the stand beside the exciting new supermini.
As well as this exciting display, there will be the opportunity to see the full Chevrolet range, including: European Car of the Year, the Chevrolet Volt.
The stand will also feature the latest reincarnation of the iconic Camaro, as well as a timeline of the Corvette, with an original C1 sitting opposite the newest 60th Anniversary model.
Chevrolet WTCC star at Goodwood
Rob Huff is one of our drivers from the twice victorious World Touring Car Team, and he is set to give some great displays of some of our cars up the Hill. He will bring with him team-mates – and double World Champion – Yvan Muller’s 2010 winning car.
