Chevrolet Aveo RS – small car, big personality
Introducing the Chevrolet Aveo RS show car – demonstrating progressive Chevrolet design that gives a small car, big personality.
The Aveo RS is a fun and functional take on the mini car segment, with motorcycle-inspired design and a turbocharged profile. It’s a sporty hot hatch, designed to appeal to a young clientele, and provides an early preview of the next-generation Aveo.
Cutting a striking figure, inside and out, the Aveo RS is finished in electric ‘Boracay Blue’, with legendary Chevrolet design cues such as the dual element grille, round tail lamps and fender flares.
Designers gave the Aveo RS low openings and a lower mouth, trimmed in a combination of brushed and polished aluminium. Outboard fog lamps are integrated into an exaggerated brake-cooling inlet that flows into the front fender flares, creating an aggressive-looking front end.
Small but strong, functional but funky – the Aveo RS is the latest addition to Chevrolet’s striking range of compact and mini segment cars, such as the Cruze and Spark.
Aveo RS - energy-inspired design
The shape of the Aveo RS show car gets its energy from the diving belt and bodyside character line, well placed wheels, and the forward base of the windshield.
Longer, wider and more spacious than the production model, the Aveo RS show car flaunts exposed headlamps, an instrument panel and large, round, metal-trimmed dials that echo the motorcycle panels that inspired them.
The Aveo RS is powered by a gutsy 140-horsepower 1.4-litre ‘Ecotec’ turbocharged engine with a six-speed manual transmission, delivering excellent performance when needed, and exceptional fuel economy as standard.

The Aveo RS interior – tailored to impress
With its matte black cabin, highlighted by gloss black with metallic and blue accents, the Aveo RS show car’s interior reflects as much attention to detail as its exterior. The ‘Boracay Blue’ theme continues inside, with accent stitching across the dual cockpit instrument panel, front and rear door insert, steering wheel rim, gear shift boot, parking brake, leather seat bolster and even the floor mats.
The integrated centre stack holds the gearshift, HVAC controls and the sound system, including a USB port. Ice-blue backlighting on the audio display, indicator screen and knobs, complement the blue stitching.
The motorcycle inspiration is echoed inside, with a round, analog tachometer set within an asymmetrical LCD readout trimmed in milled metal with round cut-outs, and round, aluminium-trimmed side vents.
The interior is as functional as it is stylish, with storage compartments in the centre stack and doors. The rear seats fold flat for carrying larger items.
